Procurement Engineer (Electrical)

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong Procurement Engineer (Electrical) to support our growing energy and EV charging infrastructure projects. This role bridges engineering and procurement—ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of electrical materials, equipment, and services.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and procure electrical materials, equipment, and systems in accordance with project specifications
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, construction, and project teams to understand technical requirements
  • Prepare and analyze RFQs, bids, and technical-commercial comparisons
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, lead times, and terms
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards, quality requirements, and company policies
  • Manage supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance
  • Monitor deliveries, resolve supply issues, and ensure on-time availability of materials
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and cost reports

 

🎓 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Licensed Electrical Engineer is an advantage
  • At least 2–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or engineering support (electrical works, power, or infrastructure projects preferred)
  • Strong understanding of electrical components (LV/MV equipment, cables, breakers, chargers, etc.)
  • Experience in vendor negotiation and technical bid evaluation
  • Proficient in MS Excel and procurement systems
  • Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills
